The Times WENDY LAWSON Tue 6th June, 7pm Wendy Lawson has autism spectrum disorder, and was considered to be intellectually disabled in childhood. She was later misdiagnosed as schizophrenic, a label that stuck with her for over 25 years. Yet Wendy is now a mother of four with several tertiary qualifications. She is a social worker and adult educator, a poet and writer, sharing her understanding of autism with others to help "build a bridge from my world to theirs", as she demonstrates in her remarkable new book Life Behind Glass. After a year in the making, his second CD 'Conspirito" is available for the first time at this performance. Friday Night Jazz a tribute to getz/gilberto Friday 23rd June, 7pm Nationally acclaimed bossa nova musicians Mike McKoy and John O'Neill bring you a set of smooth samba-jazz classics.
