The individual members of this band were already much admired when they formed back in 1979; this year sees their 25th anniversary and those fans just keep on coming! Fashions come and go, but not only is the blues always there, The Blues Band are too!

Kevin Montgomery and the Road Trippers (USA)

An all-star line-up featuring two of The Mavericks, Steve Earle's guitarist and legendary steel player Al Perkins (Manassas/Emmylou Harris) will be performing with Kevin Montgomery. Described by The Guardian as 'habitually awesome' his shows are renowned as entertainment-packed Americana of the highest possible standard.

Ilya

Slinky, sexy and slightly mysterious, Ilya have pioneered a new genre of epic easy listening they like to call desert noir – a place where Ennio Morricone meets film noir, where Godfather soundtracks mingle with polkas and waltzes, where Jacques Brel is fused with James Bond, and Curtis Mayfield’s bass lines – and something completely fresh and new somehow emerges from the gaps in between.

Emilio Maya Flamenco Group

Direct from Granada, sensational guitarist Emilio Maya is part of Spain’s foremost flamenco family. His group consists of leading contemporary dancer Ana Cali, Joachim Cortes’ cajon player El Moreno, plus singer and flamenco bass. Wowing Lewes Guitar Festival audiences earlier this year, this is stunning and authentic flamenco at it’s finest.

North African Pop

Abdelkader Saadoun

The British king of Rai music and his band play the music from the street of Oran, Algiers and Paris. With DJ’s, belly dancers and the fast, heavy rhythms create a carnival atmosphere. Immensely joyful, immensely danceable.
